What HIFU is
HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound. During a session, a handheld device delivers focused ultrasound energy to set depths beneath the surface of the skin, while the surface itself stays intact. There are no incisions, no needles and no general anesthesia.

What happens at your visit
- Consultation and medical review. We talk about your goals and look at the area together. New clients complete a brief medical review (a good faith exam) before their first treatment.
- Preparation. Your skin is cleansed and the treatment area is mapped so each section is covered evenly.
- Treatment. Your provider moves the handpiece across the area in passes. You will feel warmth and short pulses; tell us anytime you want the pace adjusted.
- Aftercare. We go over what to expect in the following days, including temporary redness, swelling or tenderness, and when to call us.

HIFU treatment areas: face, neck, cheeks, jawline and body
Start with the area you notice most. Here is what each option covers.
- Full face. The forehead, the cheeks, the area around the mouth and the jawline, treated as one plan across a 3-session package.
- Face and neck. The same face treatment with the neck added at each of the three visits.
- Cheeks. One session for the cheek area alone, a smaller first commitment than a package when the cheeks are your main focus.
- Jawline. One session along the jawline at an introductory price, one per customer. If you have never had HIFU, it lets you feel a session and meet your provider before you consider anything larger. There is no obligation to buy more.
- Body. Priced per area. You pick the area with your provider, and the settings are chosen for that part of the body. Body HIFU is not a weight loss treatment, and your provider may suggest one of our other body treatments if one fits your goals better.

How a HIFU treatment plan works at our Irvine clinic
Here is the usual order, from first contact to aftercare.
Start with a consultation
Send a visit request, or call or text, and tell us which area you have in mind. A consultation can be booked on its own (40 mins, with the fee confirmed when you book), or it can open your first treatment visit. Our How HIFU works page lists what to tell us before your first visit.
Choose your areas and your price
You and your provider settle on a single session, a 3-session package or body HIFU per area. Before you book a treatment, you will know the exact price, how many sessions it covers and how long each visit takes. If anything about your plan would change the price, we tell you first.
Your visits
A single session is one visit. A package is three visits, planned and spaced by your provider, each booked for about the same length of time. Every visit is at our clinic at 19742 MacArthur Blvd, Suite 230, in Irvine (see location and hours), and treatments are provided under the oversight of our Medical Director.
After each visit
If a question comes up in the days that follow, call or text us at (949) 762-9476. With a package, your next visit follows the plan you set together, and it is a good time to mention anything you have noticed. Results vary from person to person.
How HIFU differs from radiofrequency and microneedling
Radiofrequency (RF) and microneedling often come up next to HIFU. We offer all three, and each reaches the skin in a different way. The table compares the approach only, not results, which vary with every treatment.
